Answer
We provide both wired Ethernet and wireless Wi-Fi connections for all systems. Ethernet is preferred for reliability and speed, but we support Wi-Fi for devices that require wireless connectivity.
Connection Options
Wired Ethernet (Preferred)
If an Ethernet connection is available, we will connect your equipment using Cat6 Ethernet for the best speed and reliability. Ethernet connections provide:
- Stable, consistent connectivity
- Lower latency for remote operations
- No interference issues
Wireless Wi-Fi
If your device only supports Wi-Fi or requires a wireless connection, we will set it up accordingly. Common Wi-Fi-only devices include:
- KASA Web Power Switches
- ASIAIR Mini
- ZWO Seestar S50
- Celestron Origin
Prefer Ethernet?
If you want your equipment connected via Ethernet, include a 30-foot Ethernet cable in your shipment, and we will handle the connection for you.
We recommend Ethernet whenever possible, as it provides the most reliable connection for remote observatory operation.
