Size & Fit Guidelines
The dimensions above are provided as typical size references only. UPS models vary significantly between manufacturers, and physical fit depends on several factors including:
- Actual dimensions of your specific model
- Placement location within the pier structure
- Cable routing requirements
- Clearance for airflow and ventilation
Do not assume a UPS is acceptable simply because it is close to these dimensions.
If you are unsure whether a UPS will fit or comply with these guidelines, please contact Starfront Support before purchasing or shipping your equipment. We are happy to review your setup and verify compatibility.
Not Permitted
The following UPS configurations are not permitted:
- Rack-mount UPS units
- UPS systems requiring rack shelves or custom mounting hardware
- UPS units that cannot be safely installed within the allocated pier space
- UPS systems with external battery packs that exceed form factor guidelines
Questions or Special Requests
If your UPS falls outside these guidelines, or if you are uncertain whether it will fit, please open a support ticket before purchasing, shipping, or installing your equipment.
We are happy to verify compatibility in advance. All exceptions require pre-approval to ensure proper fit, safe installation, and long-term serviceability.
Unapproved Equipment
UPS units that do not comply with this policy and have not received prior approval may be refused for installation.
To help avoid unnecessary shipping costs or installation delays, pre-approval must be obtained before the equipment is shipped—not after it arrives.
If a non-compliant UPS is shipped to Starfront without prior approval, the customer is responsible for any costs associated with:
- Return shipping
- Replacement equipment
- Additional handling required as a result of the shipment
