Overview
This guide explains how to download observation files from your ASIAIR device to your Windows PC. You'll use a VPN connection (WireGuard) to securely access the device's internal storage, then transfer FITS files (raw observation data) to your computer.
Note: This applies to equipment owners only. Rental customers should contact support for file retrieval.

- Contact Starfront Support for:
- Your ASIAIR's IP address
- Your WireGuard config file (usually in a .zip)
- Extract the config file to your Desktop or Downloads folder
- Open WireGuard, click "Add Tunnel", and select your config file
- Your config appears in the left panel. Click it, then click "Activate"
- You're now connected to your ASIAIR's network

- Open Windows Explorer (press WIN+E)
- Click "This PC" on the left panel
- Right-click "This PC" and select "Map network drive..."

\\YOUR_ASIAIR_IP_ADDRESS\EMMC Images(replace with your actual IP from support) - Click "Finish"
- When prompted, enter
guestas the username (leave password blank)
Find and download your files
Your ASIAIR's storage opens in a new window:
- Navigate to folders organized by observation session or date
- Look for FITS files (image data) and JPG files (preview images)
- Select the files you want and copy them to a folder on your PC
Clean up
- Once the transfer completes, you can delete the data from your ASIAIR if desired
- Disconnect your WireGuard connection in the WireGuard app
